A pencil convention piece by 
, I apparently decided I needed more Phoenix in my portfolio (really, can you ever have enough?).
This piece isn't finished yet. "So why post it?" you might ask, and you'd be right to. I'm posting it because, though I know there's more I want to do on it, I'm at over 100 layers in PSP, and I needed to merge them anyway.
And because while I know there are a few things I want to smooth out or pick greater detail out of, I'd like opinions so I can turn it into a finished piece. I'm blending my two typical coloring styles here, and trying to come out with something in the middle ground. Being as it's an experimental piece, I always appreciate a second (or third, or fourth) opinion.
